Shoshone County Public Shooting Range The Range is operated by volunteers & donations. NO AR CALIBER OR WEAPONS ARE TO BE SHOT ON PISTOL RANGE - NO EXCEPTIONS. Know what is beyond your target.

Recommended donation $5/shooter
Eye and Ear Protection for all while on site
NO AR CALIBER ammunition, AR pistols or AR rifles allowed on pistol range
Four Fire Arms Safety Rules to be followed at all times
NO Explosive devices, or tracers allowed on site Please follow all rules while on site,

Eye and Ear Protection must be worn by all - shooters and spectators while on site. No Caribines, tanner

ite, tracers and all other explosives are NOT allowed on range at anytime. Four Fire Arms Safety Rules must always be followed:

1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
2. Always point your firearm in the direction it is meant to be fired.
3. Finger must remain off trigger until ready to be fired.

Due to a recent incident at the range, please note that we are not your dumping grounds. A person was caught leaving a bucket of unknown liquid at the range as he “didn’t know where else to leave it”.

The range is not a personal dumping grounds for your household garbage, liquids, chemicals and more. We too have to dispose of the garbage on site and do not want to be exposed to something we should not.

Please respect the range.

Users are starting to ask about the building going up at the archery range. We are so happy to tell the world, that the building is a slated for an indoor archery range.

This building is being funded by a few federal Fish & Game grants. The grants are funded through the Pittman-Robertson grant.

When the building is complete, we have numerous volunteers and contractors to thank for everything that will be done. This building is still going to be a while until full completion.

A huge thank you to the people who attended the volunteer work day. Special thanks to Gary, the youth of the local Latter Day Saints church, Dean Jenesick, Bill Line, Larry Schiel, Craig William, Nick Elam and John Jackson for all your hard work. If I have forgotten anyone, I do apologize and still thank you.

These people are the reason the range is maintained for all to use.
