As the season rolls to a close we would like to thank the fishermen for their storage business along with the setup's. It's been a tough winter weather-wise and fishing.

The spring bite should be awesome! The walleye should be REALLY hungry by then...lol

Here we are... the last weekend of the walleye/northern season. Most years I'm not ready to quit...BUT this year with the poor fishing the extremely cold temperatures and the most snow we've had since 2013..
I'M READY TO CALL IT QUITS!

What I'm really ready for is 70 and sunny! Campfires and happy hour with the family and neighbors.

Cooking on our new Z pellet grill. Painting staining planting the garden and camping.

Yup I'm just ready.

On top of all the snow we've gotten in the past days... It is -23 below this morning.

SOooo if your tucked nice and safely in your easy chair sipping a cup of coffee...
Or even if your at work...
Be Glad that your warm and safe.

From our house I don't see the wind that was predicted - - but Jerry said it was windy when he went to fill the wood stove last night.

When the temperatures fall to this point anything can happen.

Good morning!
We've got snow! This is (probably) the most snow we've seen since the winter of 2013- - when we last owned the resort.

Not only do we have snow but fridget temperatures and wind are on the way. Ugh!

We needed snow- - I guess we got it.

This could and might be a very dangerous storm. Before venturing out check the conditions as to where your going.

Most of all be safe!

Snow starting here in the north country. The wind is picking up too. Some ugly predictions on the weather. Have to ride it out and see what we get.

Good morning!
Ice conditions have improved somewhat. At this time there is a lack of snow for banking the houses.

It is most definitely our recommendation to stay on this side of the pressure ridge. Have fun - Be safe!!

Just watched the weather and we have w-a-r-m temps coming our way...

I'm guessing Mother Nature has forgotten we are trying to ice fish here on Red Lake... Don't get in a rush its early yet. This is Minnesota we will get there.

We have 10-12" of ice but with the warm temps coming it could certainly make things sloppy.

A little snow dusting fell in Shotley last night.
Cooler temperatures are much needed to sturdy up the ice SOoooo we can get on with the season.🐟🐟🐟🐟

Here it is - - that time of the year.

Our fish house is just waiting for a little thicker ice. The lake is experiencing some cracks so caution and safety is always first.

There are some fishermen out with portables and seeing some fish. We're waiting for the skid house to go out and that's that.
Hang on to your patience it won't be long now!
