With so much misinformation out there - I have to clarify- "private landlord" does not mean they will not screen you with the same platforms that will still show your past evictions and credit checks. It also does not mean that they will be more lenient on you. Some may simply run your app, take your money , and deny your application... not to mention anyone can make a zillow account and defraud you for rental payments for a home that does not even belong to them.
