I guess we like playing these close games. We got another win this morning, 2-1 in 7 innings. We beat a great Havoc team. Second time we played them this year. They are well coached and have wonderful parents and fans.

Next game is at 12:30. Let’s go Rebels!

Excuse my language when I say this but it’s a damn shame someone had to lose this game. Us and our other Rebels 14U Softball team each won three games today and of course we had to face each other in a losers out, winners go to Sunday game. What a game it was. We jumped out to an early lead and was up 7-2 in the last inning. That Rebels team was so resilient though and scored 5 on us to tie it up.

So, once again we go into an extra inning game. We scored two then the Rebels score two. Onto the next extra inning and with a little small ball and a few big hits we scored five. The Rebels scored three quick runs with no outs and it was looking like other extra inning was possible. Our girls buckled down and got three straight outs for the win and advance to Sunday after four wins today!

We’re so dang proud of our girls and the whole Rebels organization. Amazing players, coaches, parents and fans from both teams. I couldn’t be anymore prouder to be a Rebel!

Tomorrow is our last day with this group of girls and we’re going to make it special! Let’s go Rebels!

Rebels do what the Rebels do, never quit! Girls showed up for an 8:00 game, they were ready to ball out and they did. We won our first game and it gave us a third chance to beat a really good Crush team. Previously, we had lost two close games to them but not today. We lead from wire to wire but it was a close game until the 6th when we scored 4 and went up 5. We held on for a 6-3 victory.

Day is not over yet though. We’re back at the ballpark for a 3:30 game. We need to win two more today to get to Sunday. The girls are fully capable of doing it, everyone believes in them. Let’s go Rebels!!

Not the game we hoped we would play today, lost our first bracket game and we’re done for the day. Not all is lost though, we can still make it to Sunday. It will just be a lot tougher now.

As much as it stunk to lose today it won’t keep us from enjoying the rest of the day. Pizza party, pin trading and swimming all to come today. Let the real fun begin!
