🚨 25LB SALMON!!‼️
Our first week guiding is in the books up North! We crushed our companies PB salmon! Huge congratulations to Matt Serbousek ! He fought, wrestled, scrapped and reeled in a 38” salmon! It tipped the scales anywhere from 26.04 lbs after it was immediately caught with a bubba scale and ended up at the end of the day at the outpost lodge scale 25.32lbs. Either way….WOW🤯!
The salmon bite is on the slow side still, but it should pick up🤞. Walleye bite is good for eaters on the river. We just had a couple openings pop up. We have September 1,2,10,16-21 still available

I ended my trips on Lake McConaughy this summer on a high note this week! LOTS of Master angler award fish and smiling kids that got worn out reeling big fish in! Trolling Big Eye Spinnerbaits did most of the damage, catching a 9.5 lb walleye, 4 GIANT wipers weighing 11.1lbs, 10.5lbs 9.5lbs and 9.3 lbs, 19” smallmouth and too many 17”+ white bass to keep track of!
I’m headed North to guide trips for King Salmon and limits of walleye on Lake Oahe.I’ll be back at Mac for the fall bite! We’ll still have Larry and Jake holding the fort down here at Lake McConaughy if you want to get out with us in August or September.

The dog days of summer are here…BUT if you get a breeze on the lake, it’s much cooler on the lake than on shore. Despite the warm temps we’ve been able to get the rods to bend. Walleye bite has no doubt started to sputter, but there’s still some to be caught. We’ll always target walleye on all of our trips, but the bonus fish are fun too! We’ve seen a resurgence of BIG white bass this week and there’s nothing wrong with catching or eating them! We have guides available most days if you’d like to take the family out! We should be able to get the rods to bend whether it’s a walleye, white bass, northern pike or a catfish.
