Last Sunday's game was so close. A 2-1 result, though not a win, still says a lot. It says it was a close game. Think about it. We barely, lost to the best team. We have potential!

Hey Flames!! Unfortunately, we were not able to meet today for today's practice. We had hopes of having the field today since the sun came out and it seemed pretty dry, but that was not the case. Please note that our practice on Wednesdays is only for one hour. Practice on Fridays is for two hours and ends at 5:30pm.

Besides heat exhaustion, the prolonged exposure to the sun can cause burns and increase our chances of developing skin cancer. Applying sunscreen before the game and during halftime protects our skin. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Home court advantage has been studied and confirmed. There is a real advantage to be surrounded by people who desire your success. Ideally, we would saturate the field and surround our kids with encouragement at the start of the game. When we don't have enough "fans" to start the game we can do still be strategic. When parents sit opposite (on the other side of the field) of the coaches at the start of the game we will always have a group cheering from both halves.

We promise to bring a clean water bottle filled with filtered water to each game. Each 32 oz. water bottle has four 8 oz marks. Our games will mostly be when the sun is the strongest. Please remind our Flames to drink before, during, and after the game to prevent muscle cramps, fatigue and injury. Together we will have a great season!
