Along with our Summer Road Trips and Summer Mini Camp, we’ve got three community engagement opportunities you won’t want to miss this week!

💚 City of Keene Community Night: Come meet the departments and the City staff who work hard to serve our community! Enjoy grills cooking, Touch-a-Truck, activities at each station, and plenty of opportunities to connect with your local City team.

💛 Summer Concert - Dragonfly Trio: After being rained out when originally scheduled, Dragonfly Trio is joining us at the KPRD's Fuller Park Pavilion! Note the earlier start time so you can enjoy the tunes before darkness sets in.

🧡 Summer Pump Track Bike Race: Register online or onsite to take part in our final of three summer races. Test yourself on the track to ride your best time! There may even be a "Zu-Keene-i" challenge comeback (anyone with zucchini to donate to the cause would be appreciated and celebrated!).

We called in the big guns! Forest Bell has started a hornet/wasp removal business. He doesn’t use chemicals. He loves the process, so right now he is just working for tips. He did a great job. He found the queen, and dug out the nest. Reach out to us if you have a project for Forest and we’ll get you connected.

Ground bees!!! In the grass, just downhill from the white bucket. We mowed over them, so they are pretty stirred up right now. We’ve stopped mowing, so hopefully they will settle down and we can get the nest cleaned up. Just be careful and stay on the track.

Keanan Kleine and Scotty Hartshorne have been working on getting the wood jumps tuned and ready. They need to finish the approach to the 2nd jump and then do some final testing and aligning of the ramps. One thing we are considering is making the landing for the 2nd jump a mulch landing. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this?
