In case you missed yesterday's email from our club president...
Greetings Members,
As KVCC members, you are likely aware that the club is a member organization with a goal of preserving its historic integrity and providing a place in the valley for friends and family to play, relax and socialize. Additionally, the board remains committed to keeping membership fees as low as possible to allow access to all in the community.
While the club is financially sound, when large-scale capital projects need funding, we ask for member support to help offset the impact on the club's operating budget.
The club has identified several major projects to be completed over the next 12-24 months with a combined cost of over $70,000.
We need your help to fund these projects!
#1: THE WALL
After years of punishment from Hurricane Irene and friends, the old stone wall protecting the KVCC grounds and clubhouse from the Ausable River is falling apart. The club has secured a contractor and a permit from the DEC — but need funds to start the work.
Estimated Cost: $40,000
#2: THE CLUBHOUSE
This 125-year-old building is showing its age—a little too much! The exterior siding and trim are in desperate need of repair and repainting. The job includes the much-overdue reglazing of the building's 700+ window panes!
Estimated Cost: $15,000
#3: THE MEN'S ROOM
Yes, this is what is looks like in here! The former school house-turned changing room is in need of some updates to keep up with the new ladie's facility. In addition to general repairs, the plan calls for the addition of a urinal and changing bays.
Estimated Cost: $5,000
#4: THE SEPTIC
The least "fun" project of them all—but a critical complement to the updated ladies bathroom. The new system will be in the parking lot area and will have little/no impact on the existing look of the space—except the grass may be a little greener!
Estimated Cost: $10,000
