Whether you want to become healthier or have better relationships, we have the tools and skills to help you feel great. Dawn Hanford
Dawn Hanford is the Co-Founder and President of the sister team Journey Health Coaching and Life Design. Coaching is a natural extension of her 25+ years of teaching middle school, high school and adults in a variety of settings including college and community educ
ation. She has her undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan (BA, English), her Master’s Degree from Wayne State University (MAT) and continuing education from Oakland Community College earning a minor in History as well as a myriad of other credits in subjects such as business, communication and Spanish. Accountability-coaching is her focus as she works with people to find a way through the every-day obstacles we all face. Dawn completed her 1-year Health Coach Training Program through Hilton-Johnson in 2012 and has been coaching adults seeking better health—to lose weight, beat diabetes and address issues such as kidney and heart disease. She also coaches groups for the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP)as a contractor for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. In her own life journey, Dawn has discovered how rewarding and important it is to see others succeed in life—whether it’s defeating illness, learning to eat for health or putting strong supports in place for life goals. Dawn enjoys cooking and inventing new recipes, loves family gatherings, book clubs, college football and chatting with neighbors as she walks the family dog—an Alaskan Husky (Remy). She can see the possibility of having another pet sometime in the future! Margaret (Kristie) Guadiano Elliott, DBH, MBA. MA
