What a great night at our annual Sports Awards banquet! Thank you to all who joined us to celebrate another fantastic year for our St. John's sports program and all the amazing achievements by our student athletes.

Lots of laughter, delicious food, tons of awards, buzzer be**er highlight videos, stylish socks, even a surprise visit from our special guest the St. John's Eagle himself, who flew in to help kick off this special night.

Major thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and talents throughout the year to make this all possible.

And huge congratulations to every single one of our athletes and award winners, including our 2026 Archdiocese Athletic Recognition Award winners Anna, Maximo and Coach Regina, and the winners of our prestigious 42nd annual Eagle Award, Anthony and Avery!

A great night to celebrate a great year, with lots more in store ahead. Let's Go Eagles!!

Congratulations to a few members of our Eagles family who were honored at the annual Archdiocese CYO Athletics Recognition Ceremony at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark yesterday.

Coach Regina was awarded the Archdiocesan Adult Discipleship Award for her longtime commitment to young people and athletics over many years in our program.

8th grade students Anna and Maximo were each awarded the Archdiocesan Youth Sportsmanship Award for their display of outstanding sportsmanship and character through service and actions on and off the field.

All three of them have been great representatives of St. John's and embody the mission of our CYO program. They are truly deserving of these awards and will be greatly missed. Congratulations!!!

A valiant effort put up by our final 2 teams tonight as they both gave it their all and took home 2nd place trophies! Congrats to both teams on a great season and we are proud of their achievement!

That's a wrap for basketball. Great job by all our teams!

A great battle last night as our 7/8 girls team fought all the way back from being down big at the start to tie up the game at halftime. Ultimately they came up short in the end but they played their hearts out and have nothing to hang their heads about. Congrats to all the girls and coaches on a great season (and a great CYO career for those moving on)!

Reminder tomorrow night: 4:30pm and 6:00pm at St. Leo's for our 3/4 boys and 3/4 girls championship games!

2 teams advanced yesterday, leaving 6 St. John's teams still standing. Our 3/4 boys Liberty team punched their ticket to the championship game on Sunday!

Tonight we have our boys 5/6 Liberty team in action at St. Paul's at 6:15pm - let's go Eagles!!!
