🏐 **Please join us in welcoming Daniel Halprin as High Country Volleyball's new Technical Volleyball Skills Director!**
Originally from Australia, Daniel brings more than 12 years of experience as a volleyball coach, educator, athlete development specialist, and U.S. Army service member. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science & Psychology, a Master's of Teaching, and is currently completing his Ph.D. His unique background blends elite coaching with sport science, performance testing, and athlete development.
As both a player and coach, Daniel has competed and coached at the collegiate, state, and national levels in Australia. He trained with the Volleyball Victoria State Team Program, the Australian Junior Olympic Training Squad leading into the 2008 Olympic cycle, and represented the Australian Maccabiah (Jewish Olympic) Team as Vice Captain. Along the way, he has been mentored by some of Australia's most respected volleyball leaders, including Olympian Damian Schumann and Australian National Team athletes Luke Campbell and Rhinnan Watt.
At High Country Volleyball, Daniel's vision is to:
🏐 Create a clear athlete development pathway from beginner programs through Regional and National teams.
🏐 Integrate sport science, performance testing, and sport psychology into everyday coaching.
🏐 Develop technically skilled, confident, and resilient athletes.
🏐 Build a culture where character, accountability, and teamwork are valued just as highly as winning.
Daniel believes volleyball is about more than developing great players—it's about building great people.
We're thrilled to have Daniel join the High Country family and can't wait to see the impact he'll make on our athletes, coaches, and club.
**Welcome to High Country, Daniel!** 💙💛
