๐Ÿšจ SKILL ALERT FOR ABBY! ๐Ÿšจ

Our girl Abby is officially checking off a BIG one! ๐ŸŽ‰ Last night she was able to get her Round Off Back Handspring on Floor ALL BY HERSELF! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ

Getting a skill like this isnโ€™t just about throwing the skill. Itโ€™s about building confidence one step at a time. โค๏ธ

First, Abby worked on getting comfortable going backwards by herself in the pit. Once she gained that confidence, we added a mat so she could get comfortable landing somewhere other than the pit. From there, we moved the skill to the floor with a mat, and then came the BIG momentโ€ฆ doing it all by herself on the floor at practice! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ”ฅ

It takes patience, trust, and lots of little steps to turn fear into confidence. Abby kept working, kept believing, and now look at her go! ๐Ÿฅณ

Check out our Little Miss Sloan as she FINALLY got her back hip circle in Pre-Team! ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

Let me tell ya, this girl has been working on this one for a while! Yesterday, something finally clicked, and she got it! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ

Is it perfect? Nope! But you know what? Itโ€™s perfect to HER because SHE DID IT! โค๏ธ And thatโ€™s what these moments are all about!

Skills donโ€™t have to be perfect the first time. They get better as our gymnasts learn to understand their bodies, the equipment, their timing, and everything in between. The important part is that they keep trying, keep learning, and keep believing in themselves!
