Aloha Konawaena Middle School Parents!

The Boys are Back to Back BIIF Champions and our Girls make history and bring the title home for the first time! BIIF’s this year was home at Konawaena and I was the matside announcer for the day (8a-9p 😓😆) so proud of these kids 🔨🔨🔨 who eat , sleep , and crap competition 💪🏽💚 . Honored to be part of the best coaching staff and brotherhood 🤼‍♂️ Konawaena Wildcats

Aloha Pō’akahi🙏🏾🤙🏾 post NAGA and home with a absolutely no voice. Through this pau 🤣 I’m so extremely proud of my Grapplng Ohana at Shoot Hawaii Dojo and in tears watching videos of all their matches. NAGA is the big show for Hawaii and everybody there brings it!

We are a BJJ school that focuses on self defense (when we pass guard it’s to get to a dominant striking position with subs being the option) and we also focus on the Lifestyle making you a better person , and sometimes people that  compete can be very ugly.  so we don’t actually enter competitions to compete.  we enter to stay sharp, relevant and up to date with the art  whether it’s in competition or self-defense or MMA, we must be up to date with techniques as the art evolves . So to have them consistently podium , even in often stacked divisions , as the greatest accomplishment as a Teacher .

A handful of Konawaena Middle School Jiu Jitsu kids competed at the Hawaii Triple Crown (had a couple had to pull out 🤒 ) and for a few it was their very first tournament! Had some great learning experiences , a few huge wins and also a few that all could have been match of the day! So extremely proud of you guys!!!
