Coach Bonnie has spent 15 years helping people build healthy, active lifestyles as a fitness instructor. For the past several years, she has also coached athletes at the junior high, high school, and club levels. She currently serves as the girls head coach at Fairfield and as the head coach of the Layton High boys volleyball program.
For Bonnie, coaching is about much more than teaching volleyball skills. She is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, form lasting friendships, and develop healthy habits that will benefit them long after their playing careers are over. Her teams are built on hard work, purposeful competition, and a positive, supportive environment where athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves every day. Coach Bonnie’s goal is for every player to leave the season stronger, more confident, and with a genuine love for the game.
Chris’s volleyball journey began after high school when he quickly developed a passion for the sport through outdoor competition. He competed at every level, earning numerous tournament championships before taking his game indoors and making the Division I club team at Utah Valley State College as an outside hitter. During his time at Utah Valley State College, Chris helped his team earn two top-three finishes at the national championships, placing second and third in the country.
The competitive spirit and love for volleyball he developed as a player continue to drive him today. As a coach, Chris is passionate about helping young athletes build strong fundamentals, compete with confidence, and develop a genuine love for the game. He strives to create a positive, challenging environment where players can grow both on and off the court.
