Today, we mourn the loss of a true coaching legend, Coach Aaron Anderson.
Coach Anderson dedicated his life to impacting young people through athletics and education. His coaching journey and influence reached far beyond one community, serving and mentoring student-athletes at Monument Valley, St. Johns, Chinle, and Page High School, where he eventually retired. Everywhere he coached, he left behind respect, pride, discipline, and lasting memories.
He was the kind of coach who believed in his players, pushed them to be their best, and cared deeply about the people they became off the field and court. His passion, leadership, and love for coaching touched generations of athletes, coaches, families, and communities across Arizona and Navajo Nation.
Coach Anderson’s legacy will forever live on through the countless lives he shaped, the programs he helped build, and the lessons he taught along the way.
We extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Anderson family, his former players, friends, coworkers, and all the communities that were blessed to know him.
Rest easy, Coach Anderson.
Thank you for the years of dedication, leadership, and heart you gave to so many. You will always be remembered as a true Mustang legend and an icon in Arizona athletics.
