Thursday night recap 🏁🏁

Qualifying: 14/25 which put us in the A-main
Heat race: started 3rd, ran hard and was able able to finish 3/8
Feature: started 14th, had a great start and truck was handling well. I was able to drive up to 11th, but the handling worsened as the race went on causing me to lose all the spots we gained and then some finishing 16/18.

We were planning on racing tomorrow at Slinger but unfortunately had something come up so next race will be Thursday at WIR.

No racing tonight, Mother Nature wins again 😢

Well race fans, Mother Nature has decided to keep the racecars parked for another week ☔️

Due to the significant rainfall of over 3” that fell the past few days, rain that continues over the track currently, along with the forecasted additional storms this evening; we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s event.

We will be back next week, Thursday July 9th for the running of the White Race, part of the historic Red, White & Blue State Championship Series.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July weekend 🇺🇸

We had bugs all night we just couldn’t iron out. We were pretty bummed about it and are working on getting them figured out before this Thursday where we’ll be back in action at WIR.

Thursday night recap:

We qualified 14th of 32 trucks!

Heat races were cancelled due to Mother Nature reminding us who’s really in charge with a nice little rain shower.

Feature: we qualified into the A-main with our qualifying time and rolled off 14th. Had a lot of fun racing door to door most laps and crossed the line with an 11th place finish.

Over all it was a great night and WE KEPT THE CHAIN ON THE WHOLE NIGHT 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Mother Nature may have won this week so no racing tonight. Bummer but atleast we can’t throw a chain this week 🤷‍♀️ We’ll see you next week for the red race and the Rob Vandermoss memorial race next week!

Well Race Fans, it appears Mother Nature has other plans for this week…..Taking into consideration the time and safety of our fans, sponsors, members and traveling race teams; we are postponing the Rich Somers Memorial Red Race at WIR scheduled for tomorrow night due to the highly forecasted chances of strong storms and heavy rainfall 🌧️

But not to worry, the event will be rescheduled for next Thursday, June 18th in conjunction with the Rob Vandermoss Sport Truck Memorial, including 1/4 Mile Late Models - A full night of action you won’t want to miss! 🏁

Thursday night recap:

Practice went well, went out to qualify and lost the chain (I know, huge surprise) and got to start the night off like every racer wants too… on the hook. We got the truck put back together and went out for the heat. We got into a bit of a bind on lap one then had handling issues the rest of the race. Due to our problems we missed the A main but started front row for the B main. We had a great start and were able to pull away from the field and kept the lead for all 12 laps getting us our FIRST B MAIN WIN 🏁🏁🏁

We race again this Thursday at WIR for the red race of the red, white and blue series as long as the rain holds off. See you there!

Thursday night recap:

Lady Luck still didn’t visit. We had chain problems right out the gate causing us to miss practice and qualifying. Made lots of changes for the heat race. We fired off near the back and was able to drive up to 3rd before the chain again caused problems preventing us from finishing the race. We again changed a bunch of things for the b-main. In the b-main we started dead last, was moving forward when we had some handling problems causing us to spin and be about 1/3 lap behind the last place guys. We were able to catch back up with the pack and pass a few with the few laps left and finishing 6 of 10. We were planning on racing tomorrow with the touring series but due to a shipping delay a part we need won’t be here until Tuesday so we made the hard decision to keep her parked until WIR on Thursday.

🏁🏁It’s Race day at WIR 🏁🏁

We had some problems during practice so we didn’t get to qualify so we’ll be firing off last for the heat race. But we got the truck fixed up and excited to see what we can do.

Green flag drops at 6:30, come on out and support local racing!

Friday night recap:

Lady Luck wanted nothing to do with us. Our first practice session went well with us being 12th of 24. Second practice was going well until our chain decided it was time to retire breaking into two different pieces and causing other damage in the process. We were able to get another chain on and get the truck in good enough shape to limp through the rest of the night but missed qualifying in the process. Due to this, we started last row in the heat race and were able to drive up to 6th place out of 12. We started the B main feature 2nd and had a great start taking the lead into the first corner but the new chain decided to follow in the old chains footsteps ending our night early on the first lap.

Hoping our luck turns around this Thursday for the start of our weekly racing at WIR. See you there!
