RACE DAY!
The Pete's Auto Repair & Sales WIR 1/4 Mile Late Models hit the track TONIGHT for Round 4️⃣ of 2026 at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Henry Neerdaels comes as the series point leader with a slim 11 point advantage over Kaden Kostichka and former champion Rick Spoo who are currently tied for 2nd.

As a bonus tonight it’s the Red Race which will see a 51 lap Super Late Model feature honoring the late Kyle Busch.

Qualifying at 5:35, racing at 6:30.

We are 1️⃣ month away from the 3rd annual “Duke of WIR” presented by Great Lakes Testing.

This annual event honors long time racer Jim Duchow for his efforts as one of the pioneers behind the formation and growth of the Pete's Auto Repair & Sales WIR 1/4 Mile Late Model Series, which began in 2016.

This event also serves as Round 1 of 3 in the 2026 Triple Crown Series.

Great Lakes Testing provides quality while performing Non Destructive Testing. They perform Radiographic Testing (both traditional film and Computed Radiography), Visual Testing, Certified Weld Inspection, Magnetic Particle Testing, Dye Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, Film Digitization, and they also have their Fire Division in which they perform tests on both the ladders and aerials for fire departments. 🚨 ATTENTION - READ BELOW 🚨

This post is to publicly clarify the tire sample results from the 2 tires in question during the Spring Classic season opener.

Tires from both the 04 & 19 cars were sent to Blue Ridge Race Lab for additional analysis & testing following the conclusion of the Spring Classic on 5/15/26.

As shown in the results below, tire samples from both the 04 & 19 cars CONFORMED TO THE BENCHMARK, and therefore PASSED the test

Any questions may be directed to the WIR 1/4 Mile Late Model Advisory board and tech staff.

Any other information or assumptions being shared should be directed to this post for clarification.

Congratulations to our feature winners last night. Rookie Justin Johnston picked up the win in the CR Construction feature #1. Henry Neerdaels won the Therrian Insurance feature #2.

RACE DAY! The Pete's Auto Repair & Sales WIR 1/4 Mile Late Model Series is back TONIGHT at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Teenage hot shoe Kaden Kostichka leads the field through the first 2 nights picking up 2 feature wins so far, but Ty Fietzer & Henry Neerdaels are lurking just 11 & 12 points back in the points standings respectively.

The field is closer than ever with the top 5 separated by just 23 points. It’s anyone’s guess who will win tonight.

Of note, Fred Therrien makes a return after a rough week 1 crash in his #17, this time piloting the Berken Racing #04 car.

Mike Reichenberger will also debut a new car to the series with a flashback to the #5, which he carried in the 1980’s & 90’s on the 1/2 mile.

A great field of 13 Pete's Auto Repair & Sales WIR 1/4 Mile late models took to the track at Wisconsin International Raceway last evening.

Kaden Kostichka became the first multiple race winner on the season as he picked up the win in CR Construction feature #1, his second of the season.

Dan Thomson picked up the win in the Therrien Insurance Feature #2.

Henry Needaels proved consistent on the evening by racing his way to second place finishes in both features.

Ty Feitzer, who collected fast time earlier in the evening, also made the podium twice by finishing third in both features.

The series is back in action on Thursday June 4th at WIR.

RACE DAY!

The 2nd event of the 2026 season for the Pete's Auto Repair & Sales WIR 1/4 Mile Late Model Series happens TONIGHT at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Last Friday night it was Evan Beattie & Kaden Kostichka scoring wins in the dual feature event and the field will be hungry to re-take the top spot

2021 Champion Mike Reichenberger returns to the #04 car this evening for a one off hunt for a trophy. You can catch Mike in the #5 car a little later this season.

Its Sunny, bring a blanket & a jacket and BE THERE! 🏁 Racing at 6:30 Sharp.
