Where Was Master Um on September 11?

Many students know me as their Taekwondo master, but few know where I was that morning or how one thought about my wife changed the way I viewed life.

This is more than my memory of September 11. It is a lesson about family, kindness, true strength, and living without regret.

Thank you parents and students for participating in our

BIANNUAL G.E.T. REAL SITUATION SAFETY & LEADERSHIP DAY

This week we had more than just a self-defense class. It was about awareness, confidence, preparation, communication, and protecting the people we love.

We encourage families to practice some of these concepts at home from time to time through simple role-play and conversations. Preparing children mentally and emotionally helps build confidence, awareness, and stronger decision-making in real-life situations.

Our goal is not to create fear, but to help develop prepared, confident, and resilient kids.

As a reminder, throughout the year we also offer deeper safety awareness and leadership training through our Leadership Upgrade Program. If your family is interested in additional self-defense, awareness, and leadership development training, please ask our front desk for more information.

What an incredible day for our Black Belt Candidates! 🥋🔥
Today, our students stepped onto the floor and gave their very best during Black Belt Testing. Their hard work, discipline, perseverance, and heart were on full display, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of them.
Becoming a Black Belt is not just about kicking and punching — it’s about leadership, character, dedication, and never giving up even when things get tough. Today was a huge milestone in their journey, and they earned every moment of it. 👏
