Professor Mark D**g Being Honored with G.O.A.T. Martial Arts Award – Recognized Among the World’s Greatest Martial Artists
August 14–16, 2025 | Tanglewood Resort | Pottsboro, Texas
Katy, Texas – Professor Mark D**g, a 7th Degree Black Belt from Katy, Texas, has been officially recognized as a recipient of the G.O.A.T. Martial Arts Award, one of the highest honors in the international martial arts community. Though unable to attend the awards ceremony in person, he will be honored in absentia during the G.O.A.T. Awards Weekend taking place August 14–16, 2025, at the Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas.
The G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) Awards honor lifelong martial artists who have made a significant global impact through teaching, leadership, community service, and martial excellence. This year’s recipients represent over 25 U.S. states and nations including Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Guyana, South Africa, Australia, and Israel.
Professor Mark D**g is a lifelong Martial Artist with over 35+ years of teaching and training. He has Black Belts in several arts including Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kajukenbo, and Mantis Kung Fu. He also trains in Muay Thai and is a personal fitness trainer. He says, “Being recognized as a G.O.A.T. in martial arts is a humbli g honor. I just love to teach and train and help students improve their lives everyday.” Professor D**g owns his own academy called, Dragon’s Den Self Defense Academy in Katy, Texas. He also works as a Personal Protection and Security Officer when he isn’t at the academy.

Honorees were nominated by peers and selected by the Grand Masters Council based on merit, legacy, and their embodiment of Kaizen, the lifelong pursuit of growth and improvement in the martial arts.
