I have installed an split heat pump air system with hepa filtration. I will only work with no more than two people at a time in the private dojo. Every student must follow strict COVID guidelines to ensure that they do risk the health of other students.

Private classes for teaching children and adults Ushiro Karate are now forming (separate classes). If you are interested, please email me at [email protected]. Class sizes will be no more than six children and no more than four adults. All classes will be taught by me. I am the first westerner accepted as a direct student of Ushiro Sensei and continue to train directly under him.

We have moved out of the Saw Mill River Club and are now in our own private space. Classes sizes will be kept small in order for the students to get a lot of personalized instruction from Marc Abrams Sensei, 5th Dan.

Aikido Arts of Shin-Budo Kai, Napa branch dojo has just officially opened with a wonderful seminar taught by Shihan Imaizumi. We are deeply grateful to the presence of so many students from the Pacific Aikido Federation. Students from the ASU and other dojos rounded out a fantastic weekend of training. Brad Gould Sensei, Mike Cheney Sensei, Ralph Bryant Sensei , Phil & Adele Riff and Melih Arlsan, all from Shin-Budo Kai made this inaugural event such a special moment for us. We cannot thank everyone enough for helping us open our dojo with a remarkable event!

Time to begin preparing the space for the new Napa California dojo for Aikido Arts of Shin-Budo Kai! We will be on the top floor and I will keep people posted of the progress in the build-out. So far, I carried 50 zebra mats up those stairs in the rain today..... Lovely day in the neighborhood. Looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces in February 2016!
