Lakota Raiders Jr High Football 2026 Representing Lakota Junior High Football program, this page is designed to support the coaching staff, players, families and friends of the program.

We will use this page for schedules, updates, fundraising, and requests from coaches. With continued efforts from the community, family and friends, we hope to give these boys unwavering support and encouragement. Please use this forum to share any pictures you may have, helpful information, questions you may have or help you may need. Also, feel free to add any members to this group as our program continues to grow! It is important to note, we will not tolerate any disrespectful posts or slander here--you will be removed from the page immediately. All athletes must be in the locker room between 5:15 and 5:30 with white socks, good hydration, and ready to compete!!!!

Good evening everyone!!

I know there are concerns with the heat for tomorrow's game. However, our Athletic Director had been in communication with Arcadia's AD and they have found a solution!! Please take the time to read it below.

* Just before the start of the game, the Lakota AD, the head coaches, and officials will discuss our success plan below.
* #1 Lakota will have a trainer on site.
* Midway through each quarter, there will be a 3 minute stoppage of play for hydration with helmets off.
* Each team will have additional timeouts available as normal.
* Halftime will run a total of 10 + 3 minutes with helmets and shoulder pads off.
* Both schools will stock additional water coolers on their sidelines in preparation.
* Please ensure proper hydration tonight, and at school tomorrow.

Again, please ensure your athletes are hydrated. It is so important that we try to prevent any heat related issues the best we can.

WEEKLY UPDATE - Week of 08/31

Thank you for all of the support during the Elmwood Game! It was good to start off the season right!

This will be a little longer, so please bear with me!

Practice times:

Monday- 3:30-5
Tuesday/Wednesday - After school - 5
Thursday - HOME vs Arcadia game starts at 5
Friday - TBD

Thank you to the Scherger family for providing the team with Pizza for our team feed this past Wednesday! I have heard buzzing that other families may be interested in providing food for our team feeds on Wednesdays. That being said, I will post a Sign Up sheet attached to this post. Feel free to sign up!!!

Monday 8/24 - Practice 3:30-5

Tuesday 8/25 - Practice 3:30-5

Wednesday 8/26 - Practice 3:30-4:30, Team Feed to follow, will be done by 5

Thursday - GAME DAY. HOME vs Elmwood 5:00pm

Friday - TBD

We will be holding practice today from 5-7 pm!!! I understand open house is today, please make it a point to go before practice, as practice is still mandatory!

Good Morning!!!

Quick daily update:

We will not be having practice today, 8/12/2026. Please make sure your athlete is resting and recovering fromm yesterday if they have any bumps and bruises. If they feel as if it is more than that, I will see if our trainer will be here sometime this week to get it checked out!

We do, however, have drug testing at the school this afternoon from 2-4. Please show up any time between 2 and 4 to get this done!
