HS Boys Volleyball continues to be the number 1 growing boys sport in the country!

Boys high school volleyball just keeps climbing! 📈

In the past 10 years, participation is up 76% — the next highest boys sport grew just 16%.
And in just one year, it’s risen 12.57%, compared to 4.63% for the next highest. 🔥

Today, that growth takes another huge step:
The Oregon School Activities Association voted today to sanction high school boys volleyball in the state! 👏 Congrats to all the Oregon volunteers, First Point committee members, and especially to the boys who will now be able to officially represent their schools. 🙌

🏐 Big news — the OSAA just voted to officially sanction boys volleyball for Spring 2026!

Huge congrats to the advocates, coaches, and players who made this happen. Your hard work has opened doors for countless young men across Oregon to be a part of a team and compete for their school.

NFHS reports declining numbers in football, baseball, and basketball reflect changing interests in boys’ athletics. At the same time, boys’ volleyball has seen unprecedented growth of 76.3%, the highest among all sports over the past decade.

The data highlights a clear trend: schools that invest in volleyball are investing in future.
