Thursday Food Tip: Water-rich fruits and veggies can help you stay hydrated this summer. Foods contribute up to 20% of your body's water needs along with vitamins, fiber and electrolytes. Wednesday Wellness Tip: Those first hot, humid days of summer can hit especially hard. Your body needs exposure to heat to adapt. Once you start getting that exposure, your body will adapt with increased sweating, improved core temperature regulation and better fluid-electrolyte balance. Help your body by making sure you are well hydrated and have enough electrolytes on board to replace what is lost through sweat. Be mindful of your body's signals during outdoor activities and be prepared to adjust intensity and/or duration if needed.
