Another fantastic Belt Ceremony at Shin Do Ryu Karate! We had some great demos by our students and instructors and students received their next rank!

Our spring 2026 semester just started, so there is still time to register! We have classes available for children ages 3 and up and for adults of any age or skill level.

A big highlight of 2025 for Shin Do Ryu Karate was participating in our first tournament as a school! Midwest Open 2025!

All participants did great and we took top school for the Tournament!

After traveling to China for the last two years, we at Shin Do Ryu Karate, incorporate the teaching and practice of Shaolin Kungfu in our school.

As a member of the Shaolin North American Association you can train traditional Chinese Kungfu in Kansas City, Mo at Shin Do Ryu Karate 📿

New Semester starts at Shin Do Ryu Karate on Saturday, September 6th!

We have classes available for children ages 3 to 16 on Saturdays! Beginner classes are from 10:00 am to 11:00am. Advance classes are from 11:00am to 12:30 pm!

Adult classes are available on Saturdays and Wednesdays this fall! Ages 18 and up and all skill levels are welcome!

This year the Abbot of the Shaolin Temple Master Shi Yongxin had a stone commissioned in honor of individuals and schools in the Shaolin North American Associations for their contributions to Shaolin Culture.

Shin Do Ryu and Yuriy Gevorkov will forever be honored at the Shaolin Temple and we will forever be grateful 🙏🏻📿

Sensei Yuriy, Sensei Henry and Sensei Melissa went to China this year to further their Kung fu training at the Shaolin Temple and to immerse themselves in Chinese culture.

We are excited to share our knowledge and love for Kung Fu with the students at Shin Do Ryu Karate! 🙏🏻
