Good morning everyone. Just wanted to give you all an update on what’s happening with re-opening.
As I (Josh, owner & trainer) inch my way closer to securing a new building, I have gone through and made some changes to how the gym will be structured this time around.
Going forward my mission is solely focused on boxing & kickboxing fitness training classes for everyday people like we have done in the past, where you can come train like a fighter, without the fight, at your own pace no matter what level of experience.
That being said, we are keeping our HEAVY BAG CLASSES like we had before as our primary focus & are no longer going to have competitive boxing classes, jiu jitsu or mma classes. I am not looking to train amateur or professional fighters anymore. We will still have technical, hands on classes a few days a week with sparring and grappling opportunities if people choose to, but it will be more laid back & geared towards hobby, self defense purposes and overall having fun while learning. There will be some exceptions every once in a while for people trying to get a match off there bucket list and other events such as the bartenders brawl, guns n hoses etc, that pop up occasionally if I’m asked, but overall that is not going to be the main focus.
I recognize I’ve had problems in the past with inconsistent class schedules and full on closings which as owner I apologize & take full responsibility for.
To correct that, we are going to have a new open gym format along with our classes that will include a separate bag area & free weights so you can participate in class, or have the option to train and workout while class is going on at your own leisure. I am structuring this so if and when an event arises where I can’t teach class for the day, the doors will be open for you to still come workout and train no matter what.
I believe this is going to be better for the gyms overall growth & guarantee that our members have a much more enjoyable, consistent & smoother experience.
If you have any questions or want to stay up to date on where and when we will be re-opening, you can contact me by direct message here or you can call/text 913-428-0483. Email “[email protected]” is available as well.
Temporary out door classes will continue to happen on the racketball courts at Macken Park in Northtown while I work to finalize the new building. You can view that schedule and sign up for a $10 drop in class anytime on our website at ⬇️

Love, Josh
