🏈 “I’m used to getting in the end zone, so it felt good to get back in there.”

I caught up with rookie RB Emoney💰 after preseason game No. 2 and his first NFL touchdown. 🙌🏾

Johnson talked about getting more comfortable with each rep, learning from the negatives on film and making an impact even when the ball isn’t in his hands.

With one preseason game left, he knows this is where some guys can start to let up. His mindset?

Keep the motor going. Keep stacking days. Keep getting better.

And that first NFL TD ball? 😂 He’s still gotta find out who has it.

🎥 “Now it’s not new for me to say I played an NFL game. I did it.”

I caught up with DB Monsoor Delane after he got his first taste of NFL action.

Delane talked about the surreal feeling of running out of the tunnel, getting quality reps against Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay’s ones, and finally getting his feet wet after spending training camp working his way back.

He even admitted he was hoping Baker would give him a chance at his first pick. 😂

Now that the first one is in the books, his mindset is simple: stack reps, play faster and keep getting better.

First day of Kindergarten ➡️ First day of Freshman year.

“Bro, how you feel?”
“Good!”
“You ready?”
“Yeah!”

Crazy how fast the years between these two videos went by. Yesterday we were putting him on the bus for Kindergarten… today we are watching him walk into high school.

Year 1, Travis Kelce was trying to make the team.

Year 14, he’s trying to show the next generation how to play championship football. 🏆

I’ve known Travis Kelce for a long time, and one thing that has never changed is his love for the game. But today I wanted to know what still drives a guy who has already accomplished so much.

I told him most athletes enter the league wanting three things: win a championship, take care of their family and stay healthy. He’s been fortunate enough to do all three.

So what’s left to chase?

For Trav, it’s proving he can still play at a high level, being accountable to the guys beside him and bringing the next group along.

🗣️ “Year one, I was just trying to make the team… this year, not only making the team, but trying to figure out how I can bring guys along with me and show them how to play championship football.”

The motivation has changed. The love for the game hasn’t. 💯

And maybe that’s what legacy really looks like. Not just what you accomplished while you were here, but what you leave with the guys coming behind you.

Sometimes the biggest lessons in life come from the moments you wish you could do over.

Today I talked to my guy RR about something bigger than football.

With everything he’s gone through, I asked him how he’s doing mentally, who he’s leaned on during the difficult moments, and what message he has for young people who look up to him.

We all make mistakes. What matters is taking accountability, learning from them, growing from them and not allowing the worst moment of your life to define who you are for the rest of it.

Rashee talked about keeping his circle small, leaning on the people around him, including Patrick Mahomes, and the importance of speaking up when you’re going through something.

His message to young people stood out:

🗣️ “Find someone that you can lean on. Find someone that you can talk to, and just basically don’t be scared to vocalize yourself and say exactly what’s on your mind because somebody else is going through the same thing.”

Football is part of the journey. So is life.
