CREATING SCORING OPPORTUNITIES FROM BELOW THE GOAL LINE!!

This drill simulates receiving a pass/rim behind the net and cutting back to find the player in the side slot for a great scoring opportunity. The idea is to skate at the player giving the pass/rim in order to give the goalie and defender the impression you are going behind the net with the puck and changing sides but then quickly escaping to come out the same side you receive the pass for a quick play to the side slot.

Details to focus on:
-escaping out of turn, gaining separation, and making play quick
-awareness of the hand of player in side slot so the pass is set up for a quick shot
-finding soft ice in side slot and getting shot off quickly
