Sending our Aloha to the Harris Ohana as Lance and I won’t be able to attend the celebration of life for Randall & Larry tomorrow in California.

We have lots of fond memories with Randy and the entire Harris family. Larry was very instrumental in the progression of RNR Surf & Ski, and Randy was our first Pro team rider. I can remember being on the deck of someone’s house (can’t remember if it was the Harris’) and talking with Larry because Randy was still a minor. Randy joined the conversation and the rest is history.

From the RNR family, we extend our love & prayers to Kay & Brandon. The home video below is of Randall competing in the 1995 Hawaii Wakeboard Pro Am at Keehi Lagoon on Oahu. It was the first time that the Harris' attended our event, and they came back year after year in support of the tournament.

Former RNR team rider & Japanese Pro National Champion, Masato Matt Takaiwa, meeting up with former shop owners, Reid Shimabukuro & Lance Brug during a short business trip to Hawaii! 🤙

The RNR Ohana is deeply saddened to hear of the sadden passing of Larry Harris (father to pro wakeboarder & RNR's first sponsored pro rider, Randall Harris). Larry was instrumental in the success of RNR Surf & Ski, offering his business expertise & supporting our Hawaii Wakeboard Pro Am Tournaments from the beginning. It was truly a family affair as he & Kay would bring Brandon & Randall to Hawaii over Thanksgiving for our tournaments.

Larry, we thank you for all you did for us. We will miss you dearly, but will never forget the impact you had on the whole wakeboarding community.

Shion Takaiwa, the 19 year-old son of our former RNR team rider, Masato Matt Takaiwa, won his second straight Jr. Pro Men event at the PWT stop #2 in Park City, UT. He spent a few days with Ryan Shimabukuro & his wife Hideko Shimabukuro at their home in Layton, UT while he was there.

Jr. Pro Men's leader, Shion Takaiwa from Japan, is in town for the Pro Wakeboard Tour stop in Park City so he's staying with us for the competition and we go...
