WILDCAT PARK DISC GOLF COURSE WILL BE CLOSE TO ALL PLAY THE MORNING OF MARCH 23rd . THE COURSE WILL OPEN WHEN THE EGG HUNT IS OVER AND ALL THE KIDS ARE OUT OF THE PARK.

If you're playing disc golf this weekend please be respectful of the pumpkin walk set up. There are a few tents, some picnic tables, some fencing, some hay bales, and soon I'm guessing hundreds of pumpkins. There are also people working and setting up for the walk on Friday and Saturday. If you're not sure if you can avoid hitting these things , skip the hole and move on. Especially on holes 5 and 14.

The KDGC would like to thank our hole sponsors for our upcoming tournament this Saturday, July 23rd. The Kane Disc Golf Open sponsored by Dynamic Discs has a full field of 40 disc golfers coming from Ohio, New York and all over Pennsylvania to play a two round, 36 hole tournament at our two local courses in Evergreen and Wildcat Parks, and they'll see what our area has to offer. This will be the largest group we've ever hosted here in Kane. As always, all funds raised will be used to upgrade and improve both courses. In the 6 short years since the KDGC was formed we've raised and spent almost $15,000 on course improvements that include full color tee signs with a hole layout and all hole information, directional basket signs to help out of town visitors and new local golfers navigate the course more easily, high visibility basket flags to make the targets easier to spot, digging and installing drainage to dry up problem areas in the park, installing several bridges that make walking through the park easier for everyone that uses the park, and our largest project of all, with the help of The Collins Company who gave us a generous grant that we applied for, the installation of 12' x 4' x 6" fiberglass reinforced cement tee pads on all 18 tees to improve safety and bring the Evergreen Park course to the next level. We've only been able to accomplish all of this because of the support we've received from local businesses and residents, both past and present, through hole sponsorships and donations. The KDGC also buys everything we need for these projects locally. We've also enjoyed enormous support from the Kane Parks Commission, the Kane Borough Council and Kane's Mayor Brandy Schimp. We've now set our sites on making some of the same improvements to Wildcat Park and have been working with the Ludlow Community Association to get those done in the near future.

Due to the Kane Disc Golf Open being held Saturday, July 23rd, the Milton Craven Disc Golf Course in Evergreen Park will be CLOSED to public/casual play from 8am to 12pm. We have a full field expected and every tee/hole will be occupied with a shotgun start.
The course will reopen as soon as round 1 is completed, and we head to Wildcat Park for round 2 in the afternoon. Also, the Wildcat Park Disc Golf Course will be CLOSED Saturday July 23rd to public/casual play from 12pm to 5 pm or until round 2 is completed. If you're planning on playing a casual round on Saturday at either course plan accordingly.

The Kane Disc Golf Club still has some hole sponsorships available for the upcoming July 23rd PDGA sanctioned tournament.
This years tournament is sponsored by Dynamic Discs and will be played at both Evergreen and Wildcat Park, with round one 18+ holes in Kane, and round two 18+ holes in Ludlow. Hole sponsorships are $25 each and can be
purchased for either course or both. The signs will be full color with whatever information you supply, and can be for businesses, individuals, families or in memory of someone special. We already have disc golfers signed up from all over our area, as well as several from Ohio and New York coming to play our local courses and check out what our area and town has to offer. All funds raised will go directly into the KDGC course improvement fund to be used for projects in Evergreen and Wildcat Park.
