The weather was cooperative today for the nearly 100 visitors that attended the Hamby Shelter Grand Opening. Family and friends came together and enjoyed conversation, good eats in a relaxing atmosphere.
Bryan Wilkins won the portable gas grill.
Eric Zaugg won the essentials grill kit.
Joyce Halvorsen won the Orca cooler. Congratulations to our winners. The Valley Cats would like to thank everyone for the positive turnout and donations as we gathered together to celebrate the New Hamby Shelter Recreational and Safety Building.

Sunday August 30th the Valley Cats and the USFS will be hosting the Hamby Shelter Grand Opening. There will be hotdogs and chili, door prizes and the USFS will be on site hosting the Capital Christmas Tree ornament making booth. Come join the fun and see the New Hamby Shelter.

Construction on Hamby Shelter is nearly complete and now is the time to announce the Hamby Shelter Grand Opening. August 30th from 10-3. Come join the Valley Cats and the USFS as we celebrate. Free hotdogs, chili and desserts. Jacobs Lumber has generously donated door prizes. 17” Portable Gas Grill, Essentials Grill Kit, 20qt ORCA Cooler. Thank you Slade. USFS will be on site hosting an ornament making booth for the Capital Christmas Tree. Come join the fun. Everyone welcome.

STITES — The Valley Cats and Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest have rebuilt the Hamby Saddle Warming Shelter and will hold a celebratory grand opening there from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 30.
