Big Sky Kubota 100 Race Recap:
Race 1 of our 2026 race season is officially in the rearview morror! We have so many people to thank for helping us make this happen. From our crew guys to our advertising partners and everything in-between you are an integral part of our team.
After what seemed to be the longest offesason on record we finally got some track time. So Friday we brought both cars to the track, to shake them down. The test session was successful so we headed home eagerly anticipating the next day.
The car showed good speed throughout practice but lacked some cut, so we made a few changes to get the nose more into the track. The car responded well and we qualified 4th. With the invert we would start 3rd.
Once the race began Jason would fall to 4th initially before making his way back up to 3rd position. The 1 car of Agni Howell would apply constant pressure after getting to 4th requiring Jason to hit his marks and hold him back for about 65 laps. Despite a late race charge by Agni, Jason was able to hold on for his best Super Late Model finish.
We've got some work to do before we will contend for victories in the Super Late Models, but we continue to improve every race and we welcome the challenge.
Thanks to all of our competitors that made the tow and the fans that showed up to watch the race! Congratulations to Alex Lessor on his win. Thank you to Tony and CleAnne Undem and the Mission Valley Super Oval staff. Thank you to the professionals with the Northwest Super Late Model Series for the tremendous job they did as tech officials.
Our next race is in the U.S.A Late Model division at MVSO on the 20th. We hope to see you there!
Thank you to our advertising partners!
