The Philly has been my dads boat as long as I can remember fishing. Remember the day he got her. I grew up learning how to fish and spent countless hours getting her all decked out for salmon and trout fishing with dad. Today dad gave me the honor to be her skipper and taking care of the boat. Im extremely grateful and proud to keep her in our family and keep fishing and making memories with my dad and family. Im also a tinkerer so Philly is also about to get a serious face lift and getting all the scratches and gel coat repair this fall from the years of fishing.

Wanted to share some absolute hammers this year for us. Both have hauled in countless fish and both rigs have been re tied multiple times this season. Megatron with Whole 9 yards fly had been camped out on our 200 copper probably the hottest rod, The Glow Double Slick with AF1 Jacksmelt fly been running that on rigger deep or high diver depth depending.

Great trip on Daybreak with Haden and his buddy Brody. We had many first this trip. Hadens first king and steelhead. Brodys a bass fisherman so we gave him a good first run at the great lakes trolling. He landed a beautiful coho and a couple kings. Needless to say the boys are hooked on the tug! 5:00-9:00pm 100-120fow target 60-80 down. Flasher fly combos megatron with the whole 9 yards fly was hot also white slick with jacksmelt fly was fire, and white lightning with AF1 charmer fly.

We had a fun trip on DayBreak. Perch were not biting once again. Finicky little fish! So we switched to target silvers and ended up 7/8 pulling lines at 9:00pm. Dad caught his PB king this year on a low diver white lighting paddle AF1 charmer fly and Rachael caught her PB steelhead this year high diver kryptonight geni fly. Great times and memories! 90-120 fow was our focus 60-80 down at the thermal. Usual Paddles with Anglers Limits flys were fire! Could not get spoons to go this round.
