Our first class every season at Step Up Kids Run Club centers around power words. We teach the kids that how we talk about and to ourselves matters. We give them an empowerment vocabulary that they can use to help themselves rise to both the challenges in run club and the challenges in life! We play games, we have fun, and we move a LOT. But woven through it all, we work on empowering kids to realize they are STRONG, they are CAPABLE, and we love to see how they show up DETERMINED!
Our next season starts April 13 and registration is open now! StepUpKidsRunClub.com/sessions.
Program information:

Ages 6-11:
For 8 weeks, alongside running skills, active games and great workouts, we teach kids empowerment skills for running and life.
- Using power words to overcome challenges and doubts (ex: “I am strong,” “I am determined”)
- The impact of our mindset on our actions
- How to set goals for personal growth
Medal Challenge:
All our classes end with a medal challenge where participants get a chance to put all the running and empowerment skills they have learned into practice by taking on an age-appropriate fitness challenge to earn their end of season medal.
