Step Up to the Plate for Milwood Little League’s 2027 Season!
At Milwood Little League, our mission is simple: provide a safe, positive, and inclusive place for every child in our community to learn teamwork, build confidence, and fall in love with baseball and softball.

As we prepare for the 2027 Season, we are raising funds to directly support our players, improve field safety, and ensure our facilities are welcoming and accessible to every family.

Where Your Support Goes
Every dollar raised stays right here in our league and directly impacts these four core priorities:

ADA-Compliant Restroom for Challenger Little League:

Our Challenger Division provides individuals with physical and intellectual challenges the opportunity to play the game they love. To make game days safe, dignified, and comfortable for all players, families, and spectators, we are dedicating funds toward securing a fully ADA-compliant portable restroom at our fields.

Player Scholarships & Registration Assistance:

Cost should never keep a kid from stepping onto the field. Your contributions help offset rising operational costs and fund registration fee assistance so that every local athlete has the chance to play, regardless of financial circumstances.

Upgraded Field & Batting Cage Netting:

Safety is our top priority. We are replacing worn protective netting around our spectator areas and batting cages to ensure a secure environment for players, coaches, and cheering fans.

New Equipment & Safety Gear:

Outfitting our teams with up-to-date, certified safety gear—including new catchers' equipment, batting helmets, practice tees, and game balls across all divisions.

Youth sports should build our kids up, not weigh them down. ❤️⚾🥎

Came across this great article from Little League with practical advice from sports psychologist Dr. Kensa Gunter on supporting our young athletes' mental well-being:

Make space for emotions – remind them that feelings like frustration and nervousness are completely normal.

Talk through changes – give them room to voice how shifts in routine or competition affect them.

Redefine success – look beyond the scoreboard to effort, teamwork, and positive dugout energy.

Reframe failure – mistakes are learning opportunities, not reflections of worth.

Keep perspective – one bad strikeout or rough inning doesn’t define the season.

Use emotion charts – give younger players visual tools when they don’t have the words yet.

Attention Milwood Families,

Milwood will not run a fall ball session this year due to low volunteer coach numbers. We look forward to getting a jump start on the Spring 2027 season.
