Wow, firstly thank you all so much for following my Journey to Kona. It was the most physically and mentally toughest race I’ve ever experienced. Not only was the course a challenge but Mother Nature certainly threw everything at us including 100km/hr wind gusts and huge head winds.
However I managed to mentally keep on track to achieve a childhood dream of completing Kona.
A huge shoutout to my amazing support team, David Jochem, Pam, Richard and Mathew Wales, Dad and Judy, Sandy, and my beautiful family Rosie, Hamish and my most amazing wife Jane for making this dream come true. Your support to get me to the start line and then to the finish, words can’t describe how much this means.
Lastly thank you to all my training mates over the years and Peter Davidson the supporting tees were brilliant. 👍
I am really lost for words how much this means. The biggest thing I have learnt is if you follow your dreams long enough, “Anything is possible.” Kona is finally conquered.
Time to relax.
