Paddle Imua is an annual paddle race supporting Camp Imua, a recreational camp for children in Maui County with special needs.

We bring the ocean sports community together to embrace our connection to the sea + celebrate the lives of our local children. Welcome to Paddle Imua on Facebook. Paddle Imua started as an event back in 2011, with the course running from Makiko Gulch to Kahului Harbor on the island of Maui. For 50 years, Camp Imua has been creating life-changing experiences for children with special needs and disabilities, fostering confidence, connection, belonging, and joy 🩵🌈✨

Coming to you from Iao Theatre: Paddle Imua History 101 📚🌊

This weekend we got to see and hear a bit about Paddle Imua’s history on the big screen at as the Camp Imua Movie was screened.

It was such a joy to see so many campers, Camp counselors, Paddle comittee members, both past and present, on screen.

Our beloved Paddle Imua race was born out of a need to fund Camp Imua, a recreational summer camp for Maui County’s children with special needs and disabilities. We paddle for the keiki 🩵
