💪We are so excited about the transition to our new location at North Shore Fitness Club in Laie! We have some amazing new amenities to offer our members in our new facility including all new equipment, a 5x bigger space, air conditioning, a hangout and relax area, and into the near future we have plans for showers, a smoothie bar, recovery center (saunas, ice baths, etc) and much more. 🤩 Not to mention more classes, seminars, and events. Current Crossfit Ko’olau members who make the transition will get exclusive access for the first week and will a part of founders club.

Are you over complicating your life when trying to get your health and fitness back on track? Keeping it simple works so that you can continue throughout your life.
The 6 best ways to do that are:
Establish a routine. It's much easier to stay on track when it's part of your normal daily routine. Sometimes that starts with writing it on a calendar.
Nourish your body with whole foods and occasional treats that you enjoy.
Stay hydrated. Keeping hydrated is not only good for reducing headaches and stress, but also keeps you from snacking endlessly sometimes.
Sleep 7-9 hours. I know this might not be in the cards for some of the mamas out there, but focus on getting as many nights of quality sleep that you can.
Self care. This can look like a massage, walk in the woods, or even just some quiet time to read. Do things each week that recharge your battery.
Physical activity. Aim for 30 minutes of daily movement each day, whether it's a class, personal training session, walk outdoors, yoga, pilates, or run.

Remember to sign up for the nutrition challenge starting this Saturday, September 16th! We are stoked to have this available to you guys and hope we get as many members as possible to sign up. With that in mind, here’s a tip about sugar from our partners at Smart and Simple Nutrition:

When you start looking at the lables you find.... SUGAR seems to be hidden in everything. Check a can of tomatoes and you even may find it! Why is it there? Our nutrition challenge is coming up! Starting this Saturday, September 16th, we will be hosting a group nutrition challenge! With that in mind, we wanted to talk about consistency when it comes to nutrition and diet:

"Most folks have a consistent Monday through Thursday routine. It makes it easy to stick with better habits. The weekends tend to be a different story. Sound like you? There are some strategies that can help break this cycle.
1. Be Prepared. If you know you have a crazy weekend coming up. Take a few minutes and plan for it.
2. Try to still squeeze in your own movement. Even if it's just a 20 minute power walk.
3. Don't aim to be perfect. Just try to do better. "
