I'm stoked because I got a new kite from a friend. He basically gave it to me for a token fee. It is a six-year-old kite, but very new to me. It's 15 m but it almost flies itself. So I was out in Gusts to 25 miles an hour on this 15 meter kite.

My new sewing station. Had to relearn something I barely learned 40 years ago. Repairing sails for my 40 foot cruiser. Now I'm setting up to modify some kites. First little bit of practice was fixing shorts that I had burned holes in while welding. That is a Naish AR5 under the table. The first four-line kites.

 I put a polyester resin gloss on the bottom of this epoxy board (thanks Jimmy!) I also threw down a wee bit of anti-shark graphics, inspired by the notorious blue-ring octopus (tetrodotoxin baby!) and certain stingrays. The graphics have all the charm of a jailhouse tattoo… lol. Update: I came up with two other anti-shark boards. They both have eyeballs since I understand that tiger sharks like to make eye contact with their prey before they attack. The most important thing over here in NorCal with Great Whites is to prevent your board from looking like a baby elephant seal a.k.a. a blubber nugget.
