attended opening night at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ for the Short Track Shootout with the Jonathan driving his #95 SKE Intermediate chassis in the Outlaw 250 class. The car was loose Friday night in practice and with much needed help from Luke Hill we were able to get the car dialed in. Due to other family commitments Saturday we made it to the drivers meeting but we're place last when getting registered after missing the draw.
Jonathan started last in the heat race and struggled with a loose car only improving 1 spot. With the help of Luke we were able to make major changes to the car and started 11th in the B main. In 5 laps Jonathan was able to drive the car to a third place finish advancing to the A Main. Starting 11th Jonathan was able to drive the #95 to a 5th place finish and was awarded with the hard charger award in his class for going +6 positions. We started the 2022 season with solid results and hope to keep the momentum rolling into our next race. During the race Mason Hill had a racing Incident flipping his car in turn 1 but was able to power through and ran the rest of the race with a destroyed wing. Glad to see that he was okay and able to finish the race!
