Since starting this petition, I’ve received questions defending the administration’s proposal to rescind the Roadless Rule. So I researched the history and fact-checked the arguments being used to justify it.

For my 54th birthday, I’m not asking for gifts. I’m asking for your help protecting nearly 45 million acres of America’s national forests. 🌲

The USDA has proposed rescinding the Roadless Rule, which has protected some of our country’s most undeveloped forests from most new road construction and timber harvesting for more than 25 years.

The public-comment period ends September 21, 2026, so we have only a few weeks to make our voices heard.

Please give me the greatest birthday gift by signing my petition and sharing it with your friends and family. Together, we can help protect these wild places for generations to come. 🙏🌲
