Spring break on the South Llano River was busy, crazy, wild, fun and little exhausting. Seems like kayaking season has officially kicked off and we are gearing up for a great summer.

It may be a little cold for swimming, but it isn't too cold for fishing! We are excited to share that the South Llano River is being stocked with trout TODAY, December 9th! Bring out all your favorite fishing buddies to see if you can catch some!

Curtis and Rhonda are two of the greatest people we have ever met. They are a big reason people enjoy coming to kayak the South Llano River. They have been so helpful to us since we started doing kayak rentals and I will miss seeing them out at the river on a regular basis. Enjoy your retirement South Llano River Canoes & Kayaks- you deserve it!

After over 30 years on the water, South Llano River Kayaks is officially retiring as of 31 October, 2025.

We are staying at our place on the river but we intend to travel and to spend more time with our grandkids. We’re grateful for all the friendships, laughter, and memories that we have shared over the years. It’s been an incredible journey serving paddlers and fishermen. We’ll truly miss seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones along the river.
