The 4th annual Tiger open took place this evening. We had a plethora of high quality golfers out there. The tournament must be popular as our number of alumni playing in the event keep growing. Next year we might have to upgrade to Oakway golf course, although our baseball insurance couldn’t pay for the damage our left handed pitchers would cause in that neighborhood. Whether our baseball is good or bad, one thing you can always count on, the Tiger open is one of the best days of the season. Go Tigers!

Pretty good weekend for some former Tigers on the diamond.
-Jaxon Kister, a Junior at Linfield has 5 hits in his first 2 games. He hit a homerun in the opener Friday and stayed hot with 3 more hits today.
-Josh Berry, playing at Siskiyous College, had a double and a triple with 4 RBI’s in the 2nd game of a double header today.
-Left handed Pitcher Jayden Lucas came in for Umpqua Community College in the 4th inning and threw the final 6 frames, striking out 7 without allowing a hit.

Big shoutout to former Tiger Josh Berry, Josh is playing at College of Siskiyous for another former Tiger, Nick Thielman. Josh is off to a great start.

Another amazing kid that I was lucky enough to coach has earned a baseball scholarship. Ja Lu is headed to Umpqua Community College. A former 2 time all state pitcher, Jayden is one of the most decorated Tiger pitchers in the last 20 years. A great teammate and leader, Jayden left his mark and will always be a Tiger!

Pretty pumped for Josh. He worked his tail off and earned an opportunity to keep playing. We’re going to miss him on the field, but even more at school. Congrats buddy!

Good luck Josh Berry at the state tournament this week. Josh is playing for the Eugene Ole’s this summer. Josh leads the team in hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI’s and stolen bases.

Update-Josh went 2-3 today with 2 runs and 2 RBI’s. The Ole’s win 12-2 today.

Pretty good couple of days on the hill for these Tigers and their summer teams. On Tuesday, Jayden threw 6 strong innings giving up 1 run for the Eugene Challengers, while Wednesday evening Kaden was busy working on a complete game shutout for the Corvallis Marketmen.

3 seniors got to play one more time together. They did JC proud, Jayden threw 4 great innings, Owen and Josh both swung the bat well. Josh was named outstanding player for the South team. Great job boys!
