It breaks my heart to see these sweet young horses in such a dangerous place. They could grow up to become someones best friend. People are working on their behalf but need help. If you have a way to help their cause, please look into it.

Please see our UPDATE tab for DAILY developments! Please ALSO review our PUBLIC STATEMENT which includes all details regarding this rescue initiative, as well as information about NNER. Thank you!! Dreamer play fetch! Cheney, the pup in back, loves chasing a ball. Dreamer got curious about it too. Kim wants to prep for polo, but I am thinking we'll skip the sticks and just play with this nice soft ball ...

I just met the sweetest group of horses! Here is a pic of one of them. All are saddlebreds, and all but one carry the line of famous Trigger! Their owner, who had a dream to breed fine saddlebreds, just passed away after a valiant fight with a debilitating heart condition. Through it, these horses kept her dream alive, but now they need homes, ASAP. A 23 year old palomino stallion is the great grandson of Trigger. A 7 year old sweet sweet palomino stallion is Trigger's next generation. The rest are all chestnuts.
They grew up on 250 hilly acres, and so are very sure-footed. Please let me know if interested, and pass the word on.

Pete practically wore a smile today. He was enjoying one of life's simple pleasures - the warm sunny afternoon. We all soaked up today's sunshine after a cold couple of days that brought us a taste of winter and an inch of rain.

We heard Spot, one of our two horse retirees, loudly neighing this morning, and thought he was looking for his buddy, Jake. When we walked outsides to help him find Jake we got a big surprise. He had been neighing for us to come and open our backyard gate for him! More of the story is here: http://equismarts.com/2013/10/13/spot-2/ -595

Sasha had a big adventure today! She corralled herself inside a tangle of downed oak trees on a hill, and we had to cut her out. Here is a picture of her getting a treat, a small ripe pear, while she waits to be cut out of her temporary corral. For more on the story, and another picture you can go to: http://equismarts.com/2013/09/26/sashas-big-adventure/

Wally felt so great after his massage today, that he settled down in the sandy arena for a little siesta before getting his back exercises. I included more of the story here:

Backrubs must feel as good to horses as they do to us.
