Alright we’re getting kinda annoyed with Gary’s daily costume changes. We finally painted some clothes on him this spring and he’s just went off the deep end (pun intended) with it. We love Gary’s input on things but the director had to inform him that we already have 30+ superhero employees working everyday. He’s been asked to focus on keeping an eye on kiddie island and holding those swings up for a while.

How are we supposed to find time to advertise this park if we have to address a concrete gorilla’s wardrobe changes everyday???

Water Ways is open every day 11-6 and we’ve got big plans for this summer! We can’t wait to see you!!!

We are so excited to host Appalachian Cup for the first time this weekend!

We’re looking forward to a huge weekend filled with lots of fun, join us this Saturday and Sunday from 11am-6pm!

We will be at Water Ways tomorrow AND Sunday from open-close!!! We cannot wait to see yall there!!!

After shutting the park down today I went to see how Gary thought the day went. After seeing his facial expressions I was hesitant to even ask.

Gary (along with the entirety of Boone County Parks and Recreation) is very upset with the way people allow their children to treat our putt putt golf course.

We are currently planning ways to renovate and improve the course, but the money that would fund that project is going into replacing clubs and balls.

A brand new set of 10 clubs were beat off the ground and trees and broken in the first day we supplied them, along with 24 balls knocked over the hill.

Please watch your children and do not allow them to vandalize our property. From this point forward anyone who does so will be removed from the park and not allowed back.

So, we have been talking about hosting weekly night swims at Water Ways and how we should book a DJ for them. We’re guessing Gary overheard our conversation and showed up to work like this today…
What do y’all think about this idea?

(Gary is an inanimate concrete gorilla and I used AI to dress him up so he likely won’t be DJing for us, so DJ suggestions?)
