Dear folks,
It's hot outside!
How hot is it?
It is so hot that its too hot to make hot jokes out of it.
O well. I'm sure not gonna make it in showbiz.
The course has been looking unkempt lately due to 2 of our mowers being down. We did the best we could under the circumstances.
The fairway mower I acquired in early July was replaced by a similar model. I had wanted a hybrid but having experienced massive irony (I wanted a hybrid with electric motors thinking it would not leak as much hydraulic fluid, but guess what happened? Yeah, . . Like a sieve) I relented and accepted a Toro 5510 with a Kubota diesel engine that works perfectly fine.
Tomorrow, a Toro technician will arrive and hopefully will repair the back up greens mower. More shall be revealed.
The heat is revealing the weaknesses in my water system. I will be making adjustments over the next few days to counter the dryness.
