Northeast Arkansas Anglers Bass Club

Northeast Arkansas Anglers Bass Club We are a Team format Bass club based out of N.E. Arkansas that fishes primarily Northern Arkansas To southeast Arkansas. One of the best moves for our club.

We are a majority controlled club where the anglers that fished that tournament determine Where we fish the next tournament at. POSTED 2013 Northeast Arkansas Anglers members has roots that go back to the 20+ years of such bass clubs
as Northeast Arkansas bassmasters, Randolph County Bass Club, Arkansas Anglers and most
recently Osceola Anglers. This year we have reformated to include our angler

s more in our
name and become a more angler controlled club. We fish from March to September with our classic in October.. Membership is $50 a team and entry is $55 a team per tournament. We have teams from all walks of life and some of us find it hard to be off on Saturdays, so we fish typically the forth Sunday of each month during the tournament year. We allow new members to join the morning of the tournament but don't get the idea that a jack potter can come in and win. We have some of the best tournament fishermen around and you will need to earn your win in this club.

2021 Northeast Arkansas Anglers has grown over the years. We started as a Sunday bass club but the times and the people explained we needed to move to Saturdays, so we did. Time has also showed that increases in membership and entries were needed. This made for more worthwhile payouts and more Anglers. NEAA is still one of the foremost clubs in Northeast Arkansas with 25 plus teams fishing each tournament. We always welcome competition which means we want you to fish with us. You will find some of the best people from the surrounding Jonesboro area in this bunch. Come on out and give us a try. Bet you like it. TD

Our June 20th tournament is imminent. It will be held at Bear Creek near Mariana, and the tournament hours are from 6:00 to 2:30. Participants are advised that the lake has a maximum 10hp limit, which typically necessitates the use of trolling motors. The lake's current fishing conditions are favorable, with multiple significant catches reported. We look forward to seeing the results.

Bear Creek is looking really good. Full of water and vegetation. Something new for us this year.

The May Lake Charles tournament has drawn to a close, with the lake defying its suboptimal water levels to yield some excellent catches. Twelve teams took part, with several notable weights recorded. Darrell and Luke Austin claimed the top spot with an impressive 19.09 pounds, marking Luke's second successive weekend with a haul over 19 pounds. Michael Bruner and Paul Baskin secured second place with 18.44 pounds, while Adam and Maddox Smith took third place and Big Bass honors with a total weight of 13.81 pounds, featuring a significant 6.26-pound catch. Post-weigh-in, the NEAA membership voted to proceed to Bear Creek near Marianna for the next tournament, on June 20th with the event hours adjusted to 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in light of the trolling motor only law. The prize drawings resulted in Reese McGhee and Colleen Jackson winning two Magellan coolers courtesy of TJ's burger sponsor, Kyle Pruitt receiving a restaurant gift card provided by Hugg and Hall equipment, and Nick and Alexis Hazel earning a free entry to the June tournament at Bear Creek. Appreciation is expressed to our sponsors and teams for their integral roles in making each tournament a success.

We are now just a few days away from the third tournament stop at Lake Charles, where competition will take place from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Participants are kindly requested to be in the water and prepared by 5:50 AM, allowing sufficient time for a pre-tournament briefing and blessing. Following the tournament and weigh-in, the top three teams and the team with the big bass will receive winnings. As per tradition, a nomination and voting process will determine the next tournament location in June. Additionally, teams that do not place in the money will be entered into a drawing for a TJ's burgers Magellan cooler pack and a chance to have their entry fee covered for the subsequent tournament. Please note that presence is required to win. I would like to express my gratitude to TJ's burgers for their sponsorship and invite everyone to try their menu. I anticipate a successful event. Tournament Director, John.

We are nearing our next stop, scheduled for Lake Charles on May 16th. The lake's current water level and time of year present an opportunity for a unique fishing experience, one that we are eager to undertake. TJ's burgers has joined our sponsor family, and we are grateful for their support, which includes providing prizes for the tournament's drawing. As we look ahead to June, I invite participants to suggest potential fishing locations for consideration. Your input is invaluable in helping us decide on the best destination.

Charles is still below full pool by about 3-4 ft. I witnessed someone ramping at all three ramps Saturday. It has risen 3-4 feet from the low during the winter. The neat thing about fishing Charles being lower than its normalcies is that it will fish like a new lake. The lake is very fishable just not as you have always fished it. We will have a good time and I believe that the lower water will level the playing field to just go fish… I am actually looking forward to the change…

Our May 16th tournament will be at Lake Charles with a start time of 6am. The lake is looking a lot better and the fishing should be fine. More to come in the next few days

It has been brought to my attention that the Horseshoe Lake owners only allow one tournament per month there. May has been booked and is not available for Northeast Arkansas Anglers to fish there in May. This means I will need to adjust... Not a popular thing to do, but inevitable. I will have the backup posted by noon on May 1st.
