New holds at Earl Bell. These are pockets inspired by the pockets of Smith Rock in Oregon. This route's a 5.10d of these 2 and 3 finger pockets up through the slight overhang on the autobelay. Give it a burn but take it easy if you're not used to pockets.

Here's our head routesetter Zeb working through the basic knot tying process in the gym. Essentially a follow-through figure 8 knot, this is what is taught universally across the country in every gym and on every bluff. Whether you're tieing in here at Earl Bell, or outside at the Jamestown Crag near Batesville, the figure 8 is one of the first things every climber learns.

Some new routes going up at the Crag. Two new routes on Panel 4, on the auto belay. One's an orange 5.10b/c with a small throw at the crux. The other is a lovely pink route with plenty of technical movement on positive holds. Lastly, there's a fantastic black 5.9 on Panel 11, all the way to the right. It's a great dihedral to work through, requiring solid footwork. Come give them a burn!
