All the things I look for at contact during a lesson. FASTPITCH AND BASEBALL. There is no difference.

Front foot at 45 degree angle
Unhinged back foot, shoe laces to pitcher
L in back leg.
Front leg locked
Belt buckle to pitcher
Elbows bent at contact.
Elbow spacing.
Bottom arm in V
Top elbow up
Bat at same tilt as shoulders.
Bottom hand Palm up over pitchers head
Top hand palm down
Hands above the ball
Eyes in front of ball
Head over back knee
Hit behind the ball

But hitting is easy right??? And we haven't even touched how to get there.

This is why we don't over explain things, this is why we trick them with drills.

But if your coach can't explain the Y, time to find a new coach.
