The entire ZDK family was saddened to hear about the passing of martial arts icon, Chuck Norris. His impact on the martial arts world cannot be overstated. In addition to his many accomplishments in martial arts, he became a movie and TV star. He was also a great humanitarian and philanthropist. Our organization helped raise funds for his Kick Drugs Out of America (KDOA) program for over a decade. A number of our members had the honor of meeting him and visiting the set of his popular TV series, Walker, Texas Ranger. While Sensei Campos had the honor of instructing at his United Fighting Arts Federation (UFAF) convention in Las Vegas in 2000, he is most proud of the ZDK effort that eventually raised approximately $250,000 for KDOA (now operating as Kickstart Kids). Our condolences go out to his family and everyone who has been impacted by his loss. 🙏🙏

Wow! Sensei Campos "kicked" off the week with a powerful seminar...!
We worked hard with a plyometric warm-up, followed by an elbow-set clean up! Who knew the week would fly by...maybe it was the leg recovery we all needed. 🙂

Hello all martial artists,
Here we go again...winter will not go away fast enough!
In light of the winter weather advisory, all the area schools have cancelled or postponed this evening's activities.
So, the dojo will be CLOSED this evening (3/5/26) in an effort to keep our students safe.

Mother nature said, you must rest tonight....no karate classes.
We say, get up and move anyway. LOL
Please train on your own and remember to rehearse your kata.
Find a wall and practice your SLOW kicks......ssslloooowww!

Well, mother nature is back at it!

All the area schools have cancelled after school activities, so the dojo will be closed this evening.

Remember to stretch and train on your own.
Rehearse your kata to the best of your abilities, and be prepared for Thursday training.

Dear All Tu/Th martial artists,
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a nice break...!

Due to the in-bound weather, most of the area schools have cancelled all after school activities, including Johnstown, NY.
With this in mind, the dojo will be CLOSED this evening.

Please stay home and off the roads so that the road crews can keep us traveling safe.

True.. But testing for all the colors in between is a rewarding way to set and achieve goals and also a way we recognize their improvements along the way.
