As time marches on, all good things must come to an end. And this is the first end for Josh, and these Seniors. When Josh decided 2 years ago to leave football and try something different, I admit I was nervous. All we'd ever done in the fall was football. But, he always enjoyed running, and would stay after football to run. So, every child is different, so he made the choice and we followed him in his switch. I texted my BFF, Jen Willis, and told her. She told me "You'll love it." And, as with many things, she was right! I want to say thank you to the parents and athletes for welcoming us into the sport and being patient and explaining things. It as truly and honestly what Josh needed at that time. He has made a new circle of friends, and so did we. I am truly going to miss these kids, and this Senior class. They are such a special group of kids, each and everyone. They have a special bond, that not many teammates have. They have really bright futures in front of them.
Parent, I want to thank you for sharing your athlete with me for the last 2 years. I have enjoyed catching them in this amazing sport, and I hope they enjoyed the pictures, as I have enjoyed taking them and sharing them. I know some of them are funny, and their facial expressions are 'wonderful', but the love they have for this sport shines through in that. Thank you for letting me capture that joy (and pain) for the last 2 years.
I wish each and every athlete and Senior the very best. Keep Calm and Run On!!!
